Southern Center for International Studies (SCIS) recognizes the importance of protecting the privacy of Personal Information collected about its Users. "Personal Information" includes, but is not limited to, usage data, along with the name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, and credit card information of Southerncenter.org Users. Therefore, SCIS does not sell or otherwise disclose any individually identifiable Personal Information about any User. However, SCIS reserves the right to analyze and utilize User data in order to more effectively optimize www.southerncenter.org.
Collection
SCIS collects Personal Information during site registration and store purchases, and other user registration processes. In addition, SCIS collects Personal Information from Southerncenter.org Users in the form of usage data (for example, length of session, pages viewed, etc.).
Usage
SCIS uses Personal Information for: developing enhancements to www.southerncenter.org; marketing and promotional purposes (for example, offering Southerncenter.org Users the opportunity to take advantage of special promotions and acquire SCIS products and services); and evaluating Southerncenter.org usage by analyzing and otherwise using Personal Information and related data in the aggregate, but not with respect to any individual Southerncenter.org User.
In addition, SCIS uses Personal Information to direct e-mail to Southerncenter.org Users who provide their e-mail address.
Third Parties
SCIS may provide demographic information in the aggregate regarding Southerncenter.org Users to third parties in connection with SCIS fundraising programs; however, no Personal Information relating to any individual Southerncenter.org User is disclosed without express consent of such User. In addition, any such User may withdraw his/her consent at any time.
Children
Children should always ask parents for permission before providing any Personal Information to SCIS or purchasing any products or services from SCIS. SCIS expressly adheres to all laws and policies related to children's privacy.
Security
SCIS only collects Personal Information to the extent deemed reasonably necessary to serve its legitimate business purposes, and it uses security technology to ensure the security, integrity, and privacy of all Personal Information. In addition, SCIS uses security measures in connection with the collection and transmission of Personal Information during the Southerncenter.org registration process. Nonetheless, SCIS is not responsible for any breach of its security or for the actions of any third parties that may obtain any Personal Information.
Changes to Policy
SCIS reserves the right to change this Privacy Policy at any time by notifying Southerncenter.org Users (through posting a notice at this location or by e-mail) of the existence of a new Privacy Policy or any updates.
